Existing Ground Light Box Conversion Adaptor Plates

TOP FIX OPTION

On Certain types of light box the lid does not hinge up to enable a set of side nuts and bolts to be fitted. In this situation the light box lid retaining screws are used as a fixing method and the following assembly procedure should be used to retro fit the plate.

1. Remove the existing lid retaining nuts and replace with M10 plain washers and M10 x 30mm long connecting nuts. Ensure these are tightened down securely.

2. Position the adaptor plate over the connecting nuts and retain in place using M10 plain washers and M10 x 16 long button head screws.

3. The bollard can then be secured into position, using the fixings supplied with the bollard, screwed into the appropriate cage nut positions in the adaptor plate.

SIDE FIX OPTION

This option is used where the light box lid is hinged. In the situation the securing screws are fitted through the side holes and retained with nuts on the inside of the hinged up lid. The following assembly procedure should be used to retro fit the plate.

1. Disconnect any electrical power.

2, Remove any plastic window parts that may prevent the adaptor plate from locating in the correct position.

3. Release any fixings that prevent the light box lid from being hinged.

4. Position the adaptor plate so that the side holes align with the holes in the light box. The adaptor plate is then secured in place using M8 x 25 long hex head screws, plain washers eith the M10 nuts fitted on the inside of the light box lid.

5. Re-secure any fixings that hold the light box lid down.

6. The bollard can then be secured into position using the fixings supplied with the bollard, screwewd into the appropriate cage nut positions in the adaptor plate.
