FEEDER PILLARS
PILLAR INSTALLATION & FOUNDATION DETAILS
- Establish pillar external dimensions from relevant catalogue page.
- Excavate hole as required.
- Suggested hole Length = Pillar Width + 300mm
- Suggested hole Width = Pillar Depth + 300mm
- Suggested hole Depth = Pillar Root Depth + 50mm
- We would suggest a layer of paving type slabs are used as foundation supports as required. This will depend on the pillar size and the installed weight.
- Place the pillar onto the foundation supports.
- Install draw string and specified swept bend ducting
- Backfill with beach or pea shingle as required.
- Make good surrounds as required.
- Root Extensions - Some Local Authorities or ground conditions need extended roots for full depth planting. Please contact us should these be required.
- Rag Feet - Some ground conditions and rural locations may require rag feet fitted to the base of the root. Please contact us should these be required.
