Pudsey Diamond Engineering Ltd. have been named as Runner's Up in the British Business Boost Competition in association with Siemens Enterprise Communications
The list of finalists consisted of a wide selection of companies, ranging from a 3D digital modelling firm to a Pinewood Studios based stunt company, each of which has demonstrated significant business innovation and growth.
During the judging session the ten finalists entries were scrutinised by an expert panel, including entrepreneurs Tristram Mayhew of forest adventure company GoApe!, Julie Meyer of Ariadne Capital, as well as restaurant entrepreneur Sarah Willingham and Gerard Burke of growth firm Your Business Your Future.
The British Business Boost winner was announced on 30th Spetember at a special luncheon attended by the finalists and judges. As Runners Up Pudsey Diamond win a Business Growth Leadership programme worth up to £5000 from award co-sponsor growth firm Your Business Your Future, for it's key management team.
The British Business Boost was launched by Siemens Enterprise Communications in May to provide practical support and inspiration for the country's 4.8 million smaller firms.
Prior to the final round of judging, Chairman of the panel, Leon Mangan Indirect Chanel Sales Director, Siemens Enterprise Communications, said " Britain is well known for it's entrepreneurial flair, and the quality of the competition entrants has proven that spirit is alive and well. We have a fascinating set of finalists, and it was extremely difficult to select the tem finalists. Choosing the winners will be even harder, but it's great to see the British Business Boost is inspiring our small firms".
After the judging he said, " it was an incredibly difficult judging decision but Pudsey Diamond Engineering's ability to adapt to a changing market, alongside their attention to staff development really stood out"

The company was finally beaten to the top spot by Cheshire based Matmi, an online and mobile games creator.
